Blue Skies

Haiku

I ripped the page after

my inspiration

flew away with you

Fireworks

The Hardest Fall.

My Trauma Sounds Like

Dancing over the edge of a cliff,

cliff of a deep, deep ocean

on a busy summer day,

where surfboards and waves crashing.

Peacefully crashing ashore

into beautiful lullabies in our eardrums.

That’s what my trauma sounds like.

Sweet howling of the branches

as they move their hips side by side;

while their overcrowded leaves

bumping into each other left and right.

As nobody hears their “ouch”

under there, we lay on our hammock;

enjoying the fresh air, as they whistle in distress.

My trauma sometimes sounds like fireworks.

exploding in colors, so everyone too busy enjoying the show.

Pointing out beauty from my scars,

bursting into laughter, while I am raging in pain.

Some nights, my trauma is the life of the party.

Sounds so happy, to everyone she is vibing

while she is suffocating, exhaling her last breath.

On ordinary days, my trauma sounds like poetry.

Words, rhymes on a paper or spit out on a mic,

to which the audience snaps and claps

when the performance over, barely wonder

if she is alright.

Fall without reason; give all but receive nothing.

Ignore how, when, and why

But somehow, we find ourselves falling;

falling in love without restraint.

We fall until our feet can no longer feel the ground.

Live in our illusion, forget our reason.

Obsessed. We start to foresee beautiful life, us, walking down the aisle

While all of that is just in our mind.

We all fall in love sometimes

The hardest fall is when our heart dives

Toward an unrequited love

Or a heart that’s playing duck and dodge.

It doesn’t fall on the ground. It’s drown

into the sea of melancholic songs.

My Moonlight

Our love is a landscape of beautiful greenery.

Where sparks light up day and night;

and doves dance their melody in a circle,

to the sound of the lute, guitar, and violin,

as I write poetry on your skin.

You redefine time each time I feel your body warmth.

At each touch, I travel miles into the galaxies.

Every kiss feels like ecstasy.

I am beyond addicted to your sweetness,

 I think soon, I'll be overdosing.

My moonlight!

With you, my smile reflects like a diamond.

By your side, I feel more substantial than a giant.

For you, I crave love more profound than the ocean;

and my heart only steers toward your direction.

Our love is not a fairytale;

but its beauty surpasses the blossomed flowers.

It is not always made of glamour.

Deep down, there are scars, poison, spines

but I would not trade it for anything,

because, dear moonlight, you are my passion.
